Hydrosurgery System

Features and benefits

  • VERSAJET II is strong enough to debride most wound types, including burns, chronic wounds and acute wounds.
  • Versajet II offers controlled debridement and enables accurate removal of necrosis and other foreign objects from the wound surface, protecting viable tissue.
  • Versajet II offers a smoother, more uniform wound bed than sharp debridement.
  • According to many studies, the VERSAJET II System may result in up to a 3-day reduction in inpatient hospitalization days for chronic wounds, when compared to conventional debridement techniques, thereby lowering total wound treatment costs.
  • The biofilm may be removed from infected tissues using VERSAJET II. (If bacteria are allowed to stay in the wound, they may quickly develop a biofilm again or result in a localized infection. Because of VERSAJET’s mechanism of action, biofilms are dislodged and removed.
  • The VERSAJET II grasps, cuts and removes tissue in a single motion with a single tool.

Mode of action (MoA)

  • Creates a high pressure, razor thin saline stream
  • As the handle is applied parallel across the wound bed this ablates (removes) non-viable tissue (including necrotic tissue).
  • Generates a vacuum towards the stream flow collecting excised tissue, removing it from the wound bed into a canister
