SL plus

The dual taper rectangular shape of the SL-PLUS provides early stability in two different ways. The stem is anchored rotationally by the rectangular shape, while the dual taper locks into a safe axial position. After achieving initial stability, secondary stability is encouraged by the materials and surface design employed. A titanium alloy, that is extremely biocompatible is used to create the SL-PLUS. To lessen stress shielding, this material’s elasticity is more nearly matched to that of bone. It is then subjected to grit blasting to create a surface structure, that will aid secondary stability.

The SL-PLUS stem is a good alternative. All surgical equipment is user-friendly and incredibly adaptable, which shortens recovery times and eliminates difficulties. Bone is not removed, but rather impacted into the periprosthetic area, creating an active bone bed for future bone development. The femoral canal is also compacted, rather than reamed.

Sizing

The SL-PLUS system offers 12 lateral stem sizes, ranging from 136-188 mm in stem length as well as 14 standard stem sizes, with stem lengths between 128 and 188 mm.
