With the addition of a curved guidance system, the Q-FIX All-Suture Anchor represents the advancement of all-suture anchor technology. The Q-FIX All-Suture Anchor is a radially expanding anchor, that blends the advantages of a compact, soft anchor with the features of conventional anchor designs.
Q-fix 2.8 Suture Anchor
Due to the radially expanding implant design and distinct delivery
method, the Q-Fix All-Suture Anchor is intended to offer uniform
deployment. Independent of the cortical layer, the distal tip of the
inserter acts as a knot pusher against the anchor body during
anchor deployment. After the sutures have been pre-tensioned
to roughly 140 newtons, the anchor deployment is complete, and
any suture laxness is eliminated.
In terms of displacement during cyclic loading, the Q-FIX All-Suture
Anchor’s distinctive design and deployent mechanism offer best-in-class performance. The least displacement of any all-suture anchor is guaranteed by deploying the anchor against the inserter shaft and tensioning the sutures to about 140 newtons.
The Q-FIX platform has small 1.8mm (single-loaded) or 2.8mm (double-loaded) anchor sizes. By reducing the drill tunnel depth by 5mm, the new Q-FIX MINI Suture Anchor minimizes bone loss. The new Q-FIX 1.8mm anchor is about 23% shorter than this new drill depth of 17.1mm.
When compared to the BIORAPTOR* 2.3 PK Suture Anchor and other commercially available all-suture anchors, the Q-FIX All-Suture Anchor offers better fixing qualities.
