The open architecture design of the BIOSURE REGENESORB Interference Screw, enables bone to grow through the screw and adhere to the graft. A pre-clinical study showed, that new bone is integrated into the graft in locations not previously accessible by solid traditional interference screws, leading to circumferential graft-to-bone integration.
According to various studies, integration between the graft and bone, plays a part in the remodeling and healing process. The strength of the BIOSORB REGENESORB Interference Screw is consistent with that of a reliable absorbable interference screw.
The full length of the interference screw is supported by the BIOSURE Driver. Torsional stress is transferred off the screw and into the driver, resulting in superior performance during insertion.
